AOMS Technologies has developed a fully integrated optical sensing solution based on fiber optics for distributed and remote monitoring of multiple parameters (such as pressure, temperature, humidity, strain, and vibration) in harsh environments for condition, environmental, and asset monitoring. AOMS fiber optic sensing platform (AOMS-FOS) offering is an end-to-end hardware/software solution integrated with Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT). In our technology, standard fiber optic cables which are commonly used for telecommunication are converted into sensor cables. The configuration of the sensor cables and the parameters to be measured are customized based on the use cases. The technology enables simultaneous monitoring of more than of 120 sensor cables connected to an optical data acquisition (ODAQ) and gateway to monitor more than 12,000 sensing points simultaneously. The ODAQ has built-in capabilities for wired and wireless transmission of data using standard protocols to remote devices and cloud servers. The ODAQ and gateway have an embedded industrial PC with a very high processing power to run applications for advanced data analytics. AOMS-FOS products have been developed particularly for harsh environments, hard-to-access locations, and areas exposed to high-intensity electromagnetic waves where conventional electronic sensors fail, lose performance, or cannot be deployed efficiently.
